The following research sets out to establish the components of the culture taught in both public and home schooling scenarios alongside the agents as well as stages of socialization involved in the learning process. Statistical evidence that supports the thesis was obtained by virtue of direct participant observation as stipulated in Lois Benjamin’s discourse dubbed ‘In the Field: Participant Observation.
Socialization refers to the process of learning and acquiring norms and customs that define an individual’s place in the society. Individuals are socialized via various agents inter alia family, media and school. In this research, school is the socialization agent (Lerner, 2002)
