This research has proven that supply chain sustainability is easily attainable through the integration of economic, social and environmental dimensions in management. This principle is in support of Pagell and Wu (2009) who recommended a sustainable method where there was integration of the three dimensions. Through results obtained from literature s was proven that the achievement of sustainable supply chains was possible with the integration of several operational procedures.
It is recommended that management makes use of regular supply chain activities along with the three initiative dimensions to achieve sustainability. Supply chain activities like production, inbound and outbound supply chains, warehousing and product design can be modified with suitable economic, social and environmental initiatives to offer sustainability. In the end, it is realized that sustainable initiatives are useful for the attainment of greater financial gains, reduced costs and consumer satisfaction.
